Botanical name: Citrus aurantium Origin: France
Description: Taken from the twigs and leaves of the bitter orange tree.
Aromatic scent: A fresh, green scent with hints of floral notes, mixed with balsamic and woody undertones.
Perfume note: Top note but has persistence in blends.
Consistency: The oil has a watery to oily viscosity
What is it good for: Comes from the leaves and branches of the bitter orange tree. It is a cost effective and environmentally friendly alternative to Neroli. Petitgrain has a scent that's very similar to Neroli, fresh and earthy with balsamic & floral tones. It's uplifting, in a peaceful way. A great essential oil that can be used sparingly in blends and perfume mixtures.
Suggested Usage: It is best to dilute essential oil in carrier oil such as Grapeseed if you intend to prepare massage oil. Don't use essential oils neat onto your skin. Start with 1% essential oil to 99% carrier and increase essential oil until you have desired aroma strength.
Possible side effects: Avoid during Pregnancy and breast-feeding.
Bottle: These bottles are designed for pharmaceutical use, they are impact resistant but care should be taken with glass bottles on hard surfaces. The bottles are designed in Austria, using green natural glass; they are not sprayed and can be recycled over and over again.
