What is it good for: Can in still confidence and is great for helping anxiety. The oil is used in perfumes due to its beautiful scent. Ylang Ylang is also used to relieve pain, reduce inflammation, improve mood, and enhance libido. In addition, it is said to act as a natural insect repellent, promote wound healing, and diminish the appearance of scars when applied to the skin.
Suggested Usage: It is best to dilute essential oil in carrier oil such as Grape seed. Start with 1% essential oil to 99% carrier and increase essential oil until you have desired aroma strength. The oils will evaporate naturally and so you can also remove the cap and place on a high shelf (away from children and pets), to diffuse fragrance into a room.
Possible side effects: Stimulates menstruation so should be kept away from pregnant women. It has been linked to contact dermatitis and can be irritating to skin when applied topically. As with any essential oils, do not apply full-strength ylang ylang to skin.
Blends With: Bergamot, Frankincense, Geranium, Juniper, Violet Leaf and Patchouli
